PMSL @ Amy
Ahhh thanks mate... needed a giggle!!!!!
And damn straight I have kick ar$e names!!! (Although I think we are changing the middle name to Jayne now... LOL)
Oi, you get those thoughts out of your head right now Whether you think it was a stupid decision or not, the universe is not paying you back here.
Just keep reminding yourself that full term is up to 42 WEEKS, it helps a bit I promise. You will still be annoyed & ready to go, but slightly less You can hang in there I know you can & when rabbit finally arrives it will all have been so worth it. Try to remember as well, what's another week in the grand scheme of rabbit's life?? Letting her choice her birthday is so special even if you do have to wait that little bit longer.
I know you can do it Mel, you just need to hang in there just a little bit longer......
C'Mon bubba girl, mummy wants to meet you so badly.
Oh Mel
Just remember you still have a good 10 days up your sleave. Didn't you say your mum and MIL both went overdue with their pregnancies?
Let us know what your OB says today.
Hey I just wanted to let you know that one of my workmates and her friend decided to drink chamomile tea to bring on their labours. Both drank 5 cups of it the day before their due date and both went into labour that night. My workmate did it with both her pregnancies and got the result she wanted both times. Maybe worth a try anyway - if bubs is ready to come perhaps it could help things along
Sarah - as always, thank you I think a lot of people here are going to cheer when this bub eventually comes out cos I keep whining so much about it.. LOL
Spice - not really one for herbal teas.. been doing the RLT but only one a day... my OB appointment is at 11.15, so I should know more after that.... I will probably be in a better mood because my OB is just so positive and motivating.
Mel, honey, I know it's hard once you go past your EDD. In fact, it's even harder! The universe isn't paying you back at all honey. Like Hoobs said, they can't make you have another c/s anyway There is no good reason for it if you haven't even gone into labour anyway - obviously bubs isn't ready just yet. I promise you it will happen and I hope you're like I was... didn't even realise that it was happening...lol. to you. I hope you feel a bit better after your appointment today. Tell your OB you will see her next in the birthing suite Affirmations and vibes coming your way.
Woohoo, I bet you are glad to be seeing that fantastic OB of yours today. I hope your appointment went well! I'm sure it did.
I am not a herbal tea person either. Well I don't like tea fullstop really. But I made myself drink a couple of cups of the raspberry leaf tea per day too - all in vein unfortunately as she came out the sunroof anyway.
You are going to have a beautiful little girl in your arms soon
Tamara

thanks guys.
Well back from OB appointment now. Bubs is still really high, head has not fully dropped into my pelvis (didn't even mention "engaged' so not sure if its the same thing?!) but my BP is good, heartbeat of bubs is good.
She offered to have a "look" to see if my cervix was doing anything, and to see if it was worth doing a S & S. I declined, mainly because I haven't even had any real cramps, and my discharge is normal, so I doubt anything is happening. She agreed that there probably wasn't much she could do, considering bubs is still sitting up so high (butt right under my rib cage).
So we left that very pleasant option for next week, and made another appointment, so then I will be 10 days overdue. She said that she hoped to see me again this week, and I said, stuff that I hope to see you again tonight!!!! (She thought that was funny.... hmmm.. not joking!!!)
Anyone got any idea's on how to encourage this little girl of Mels to head south and engage???
Mel, I was in a similar possie in that respect. Charli had to be born by 38 weeks because of my BP and I was hopefully going to be induced but when my OB saw me at my 38 week appt Bub was not at all engaged and my cervix was still closed and unfavourable for induction - hence the caesarean delivery.
She did tell me to remain positive and to focus on giving birth and stuff, and not worry about the fact that I'm going over. She did mention that this happens alot to people that had elective c-sections, and because we haven't been pregnant for this long before, we start to get a little negative.. so she told me to try not to be...
Rabbitt is probably one of those bubs that won't engage until labour starts. She's being a cheeky little rabbitt indeed
I guess for those of us who have had elective caesareans, our pelvis and cervix haven't been broken in properly from the previous pregnancy as our first bubs never got the chance to burrow down.
Rabbitt, it's up to you to do your stuff little girl. Mummy wants to give you a beautiful calm waterbirth.
