LOL Tan, at least we know the BellyBelly pregnancy centre is getting plenty of business! You'll be right hun. Stay away from everything that reminds you of being overdue, and just "be". It will happen hun, and if not you'll make lots of money from being the first person in the world to be pg forever.

Laughing can be good for bringing on labour too. Maybe after your day out you can hire a comedy on the way home.

I was just joking on my FB status that I think it might be a phantom pregnancy!

Ok Tan, I thought I had this already typed out but I don't so I am typing it up just for you. Here is a recipe for Eggplant Parmesan which is guaranteed by Scalini's in Georgia to get labour started within 48 hours. It's worth a try hey?

    You will need:

    Eggplant Parmesan
    3 medium eggplants
    1 cup flour
    6 eggs, beaten
    4 cups fine Italian breadcrumbs
    Olive oil
    8 cups Marinara sauce*
    1/2 cup grated Romano cheese
    1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
    1/2 lbs mozzarella cheese shredded
    2 cups ricotta cheese

    *Marinara Sauce Recipe

    2 tbsp chopped garlic
    3 tbsp olive oil
8 cups chopped tomatoes (tin or fresh)
    1 cup onions chopped
    1/2 cup fresh chopped parsley
    1 teasp oreagno
    1 teasp crushed red pepper
    1/8 cup chopped basil
    Pinch thyme
    Pinch rosemary
    1 teasp salt
    1 teasp black pepper

Lightly saute onion in olive oil for a few minutes in a large pot. Add garlic and saute for a few more minutes. Add tomatoes and bring sauce to the boil. Turn heat to low. Add remaining ingredients, stir, cover & let simmer for an hour, stirring occasionally.

Wash eggplant & slice into 1/4 inch thick slices. Place slices onto a paper towel and sprinkle with a little salt, cover with another layer of paper towel and hold it down with something heavy. This drains the excess moisture. Let them set for about an hour.

Working with one slice of eggplant at a time, dust with flour, dip in beaten eggs, then coat well with breadcrumbs. Saute in pre-heated olive oil on both sides until brown.

In baking dish, alternate layers of the marinara sauce, eggplant slices, ricotta, parmesan & romano cheeses until you fill the baking dish about 1/8 inch from the top. Cover with shredded mozzarella cheese and bake for 25 minutes in 190C degree oven. Let set for 10 min before serving.

i know a couple of people who have gone into labour the day/night before they were going to be induced....
maybe the baby just knows and thinks ' OH ***** maybe it IS time to get out now!!!'
im wishing you all the best for your birth, no matter what happens.

Wow! That is enough Eggplant Parmisiana to feed an army. I think I could eat a whole eggplant on my own with nothing else at the very most. My version didn't make me go into labour thank god so don't try mine Tan.

Plenty of coming your way. You will get there eventually, how about a beer or a glass of wine? Might relax you enough?

Oh tan - BIG BIG BIG BIG BIG BIG bear hugs for you honey...

I know EXACTLY what you are feeling - and it SUCKS.. its so HARD.... even though that dreaded "day" is so far away, every day nothing happens is one day closer to it!!!!!!

Just remember - your body has prepared itself more now than it did when you had Izzy... you've come further than you did before induction with her .... so this is a totally different birth... pFFT.. whats 8 days?!?!? Nothing in the big scheme of things...

But I do know how it feels - at 10 days overdue I was going to bed every night expecting to wake up... but... never did until morning - so disappointing!!!

BUT - and this is a big BUT - just like my ar$e - you are so much further ahead of what I ever was - even at 14 days overdue

    Be patient honey.. he'll come...

wasn't going to post - coz I know I probably put undue "pressure" on Mel for her vbac for Mehkelti.

But good luck with it all, he'll come out when he is good and ready and in the way he has to come out

Thanks again all you gorgeous ones! Even with all this stuff going on, I asked myself today, do I regret not just taking the c/s date of tomorrow and the answer was NO! Even if it ends in that at the end of the week (along with the loss of my MIND ) I won't have any regrets and have been focusing on my little man all day. I have spent so much time focusing on this vbac and birth, and today just spent time visualising holding him and breastfeeding and dreaming about how soft and cute he will be in my arms!! Still impatient and grumpy but in a much better frame of mind!

    Thats great to hear Tan.
You know what I found worked well as a visualisation... (I know you probably have 100's of suggestions etc already.) With each breath I took while going to sleep, kinda like meditation as I went to sleep. I would breath in & see my cervix being pulled up & widening & breath out as my baby moved further down.

Only earlier today I posted how I can't wait for my bub to be born so I can have the cute little bubba in my arms, on my breast, smell that NB smell & just look at him for hours on end.

You will be at that place soon enough. Your doing really well.

9 days! Eeeekkkkkk isn't that just a RIOT! My dates are off a dating scan dragonfly - I was breastfeeding and had no AF so my date is based on my 7 week 4 day scan!! Apparantly accurate to 4 days which means I am 5 days over technically! I wish.

Hey Jols! I'm good! Off to monitoring in about an hour. I'm sure all is fine so am going to use the Izzy free time to catch up on some lovely gossip mags, check out my little man on the scan and just relax. Then fight!
FJ -Thanks hun - have been doing lots of flower opening imagery too so hopefully it's all happening in there whenever I get this back ache.

Had a little scare this morning, our little guy must have been in a deeeeep sleep as he usually wakes up when I do but today he took his sweet time and it took me having a cordial to get him stirred up. Gave me a HUGE fright though, poor DH was nearly at work with a wife crying down the phone at 645 ... nice way to start the day... Kicks have been quiet but regular since then - best feeling in the world.
Well will let you all know how I go when I get back this arvo! Going to have a chat with Kelly today too so that will be lovely!!

Tan - Just wanted to say all the best - i've been watching this thread now for a while. Never had a VBAC but just wanted to say it's so typical of boys to take their time - my eldest was 3 weeks over, the youngest was 2 weeks over (and induced) - who knows how long he would have sat there. Just boys being boys....... Hopefully for you it won't be too much longer and you'll get to hold your little bundle in your arms.
