Hi,
just wondering if there's anyone else out there in the world with Endometriosis, PCOS and Adenomyosis?
I've had operations for Endo and have been diagnosed with PCOS and was recently told during a scan that i have adenomyosis...i have the feeling my obgyn already knew.
i'm 22 and everything i read about these problems is about people being heavier and much much older. i feel a bit alone in this. i'm on Cyproterone Acetate and am quite sick on it.
Sorry i cant help but just wanted to say Big Hugs.... Hope someone can pop on here and give you some help and support... I have PCO and it can be frustrating but dont know much about the others....
I was just diagnosed with Ademyosis, on friday. We are TTC at the moment, and i havent been given much information with regards to it affecting fertility - because as you said it is normally found in women past childbearing years.. I would also be interested in hearing from anyone else who knows more about it!
Hey Elyse,
as far as i know there are no issues with conception except during delivery.
i had an emergency cesarian with my bubs because the uterous muslce basically malfunctuned during birth.
but other than that i dont know that it has an impact.
oh and you feel like your uterous is falling out during a period cause its so enlarged.
I have said that on many many many occasions! It does literally feel like it is going to fall out. The pressure is so immense. And the pains with it are unbeleivable!
good to know that about conception. The dr led me to beleive that it could cause problems, at implantation stage.
I know how you feel for the most part.
I was diagnosed with endometriosis in 2000/2001, I have had 4 surgeries for it over the last 8 years. Then I was diagnosed with ALSO having adenomyosis during one of my last surgeries. And today I had tests done to see if I ALSO have PCOS. I'll hear in a few weeks or at my next appointment.
For all of you girls out there with adenomyosis and/or endometriosis, these diseases can cause infertility and make it harder to get pregnant. I am hoping to do fertility treatments in the next year. But I have consulted with my fertility specialist and he said that pregnancy can help them get better! It may not take them away for ever, but to curb it a little is nice too. And I Googled everything!!! I try to get all the info I can so I can make an informed decision about my body and my life.
I know how you all feel to an exstent. I wish all of you luck and comfort.
I also have endo and adeno. I am only 28 and I was diagnosed with adeno and endo when I was 25. I think I have it since I was 21 because the pain started around that time. Right now my Hubby and I are trying to get pregnant for 8 months with no luck. So we are planning to go to the fertility doctor this coming November 4. I had my first surgery to remove my endo last sept 23, 2011 but they can not treat my adeno because of my age. Hysteroctomy is the only way to cure the adeno. I hope everything is going to be fine. So, how about you? how are you doing right now? did you get pregnant?
I thought I would let you know there are lots of people out there suffering, I'm not on meds because I am still breast-feeding. I have two babies, I am 38, and my husband has low testosterone and low sperm count as well. I have had endo since 13 years old, PCOS at 19 and it's been tough, but not impossible.
