    Nerves & presentations

    Am giving a presentation at work in front of a large, unknown audience.... any tips to settle nerves... i am tempted to use a beta blocker but thought i'd check in here for any suggestions.

    Oh I wish I could help!!
    I miss the public speaking environment. I don't really remember how I got over my fears.
    Just try and be in control. Lots of positive thinking. You know what you're doing, so act it that way.

    Oh I know how you feel - I HATE public speaking but it comes as part of my job (meetings, presentations etc).

    Give yourself a pep talk before you go on. These people don't know you. They don't know that you are nervous. You know your subject matter so roll with that. Maintain eye contact and keep it at an even pace.

    If all else fails I usually pop a xanax!

    Rescue Remedy Drops...you pop them under your tongue...get them from the Chemist...they rock!!!!
