I've recently noticed a lot of people are naming their girls Summer, so there will be a few hanging around in the playgrounds later! And the name is def getting out there, as there's a Summer on the new 'Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader' series on tv with Rove. But it could just be me noticing more as it's my name - though my name is diff from the norm as it's spelled as Somer, and I'm the only one I know of so far.
Here are some that I like -
Amelia
Jasmine
Breanna
Alicia
Amber
Rhianna
Erika
Amber
Serena
Still sweet sounding names, but a little diff from the plain ones, hope this might help.

Hi amysarah85,
My hubby wants to name our baby girl (if we have one) Amy! But he wants to call her Amy Lee, as we both loooove listening to Evanescence! I like the name Amy, but i'm still trying to decide if it's alright to have two Amy's in the family, as that is my cousin's name. LOL!

I used to know someone (in my first job 11 years ago) with the name Summah Kay - I thought it was the most beautiful name! I thought I'd suggest it (Could also spell is Summa or Summer)
I do like Sienna Kay or Aurora Kay
I thought I'd share my 2 cents worth

My name was going to be Amelie with Amy as my nn. You could have that (sounds like Amy and Lee together) and call her Amy anyway but save face with the relos!
My DH wants to name our girl (of we have one) Imogen after Imogen Heap as she is his favourite female vocalist!

I am still leaning towards Sierra and Harmony. Dh has no idea what he really likes yet...
Why is it sooo hard???

Hi there,
I think girls names are difficult.. My favourites are
Bonny
Shilo (but I don't want to use that because of Brad and Angelina.. They stole my name!)
Asha
Trinity
But my partner wont have a bar of ANY of them.. Help.. Want a name that is not too unusual as I spent my life spelling my name and correcting peoples pronunciation.. Altho I do like my name 'Avrina' (av-ree-na) I have been called Abby for years as its easier. And I didn't like people shortening my name to Avvy.. Grr..
Anyway Jade is the girls middle name..

I love every single one of your children's names!
Is Aurora off the list now? That would be my pick.
Out of the revised list I like Harmony Kay the best (I'm really sorry to say this but Sierra reminds me of the car - Suzuki Sierra, but it's still a pretty name!)

Oh, I hadn't even heard of the car.... Dont think I could name her after a car....
We both like how Aurora looks, but saying it a few times starts to sound very "RRR"y, if that makes sense....
I love Jade, and Jayda, but I already have a Jayden!!! Good luck!!
I am leaning towards Harmony till something else comes along.....

I love love love the name Summer....really bummed it is becoming so popular.
Of your list my pick would be Sierra Kay.Really pretty. Personally...I didn't think of the car and by the time she is in school and vulnerable to kids being creative with her name, the Sierra will be a relic in museums (if my neighbours is anything to go by ) And as tsmummy said...it is still a pretty name.
Other suggestions:
Sabelle (like Isabelle without the 'i')
Willow
Sage
Harlow (although Nicole Ritchie might have put a stop to that being used...same as Shiloh)
Sabine
Wynter
best of luck deciding!
