Hey there my name is Robyn and I am a trainee Doula living in the Sutherland Shire in Sydney. I am looking for one more special lady who needs a supporter during her pregnancy, birth/labour and beyond so that I might meet my course requirements.

I am an open minded lady and from my own personal experience - I have four gorgeous children of my own - I know that each birth experience is different and wonderful in its own way. I would like to be there for you to put any fears to rest so that you may relax and let your body do its work during labour. To allow your baby to be born into a calm, loving situation, where you get to focus on your body and baby so that you may have wonderful memories of this awesome once in a life-time experience.

I am there to take any added pressures off yourself and your birthing partner. To support you through your pregnancy, your birth/labour and also to come and see how mum and bub are going afterwards.

The experience I gain is worth more than any dollar value, so as a doula in training my services are FREE!

Please email me via madebyrobyn@hotmail.com

Thanks for reading!

Hi all mums and mums to be.
My name is Jasmine, and i am a happy mother to 3 boys under 4. Mason 4, Jamie 2, Kai 1. I have had a shocker birth, and then enjoyed giving birth to my 2nd and 3rd baby boys. I cant wait to get involved with other mums and their journey.

Area: Perth SOR will travel

training through - childbirth international and loving it. I start a remedial massage course which will go May - Oct 08 which will add just a little extra something to aching mums.

how long you have been training - A year, should finish the theory by end of June 08.

a bit about my philosophy of birth and what can offer a birthing mother.

I really believe all women have the right to a birth they enjoy, a birth they look forward to, fully experience and be left with good memory's. I believe all women can be empowered to get the birth they want to have, and if i can be a part of that, then I've reached my goal.

I am also setting up a Teen mum doula program which hopefully will fund and allow me to work with young mums needing support.

If you would like to know more, you can PM me and i'll provide my website details, as im unsure if i can list it here
or
vwri1011@iinet.net.au

I'm interested in hearing from other Perth doulas also, especially if you would like help studying or would like to look at working with Teen mums.

Jasmine

Default Trainee Doula in Newcastle.

Hi
My name is Tanya, I am a mum to four beautiful children and I am currently doing my Doula training with Optimum Birth.

I live in Newcastle NSW and would be happy to travel to the Hunter Valley or the northern end of the central Coast.

I would be happy to offer advice and support for you during your pregnancy as I understand it can be an extremely emotional time for you and your partner.

I know there are some mother's out there too, that are doing it alone and I would feel extremely honoured to assist you in your birth journey.

I'm happy to be there for you through your entire labour, or simply just when you need me. Providing hands on support or soft words of encouragement. Perhaps just a hand to hold or someone to massage and help relax you. I also think it's very important for someone to be there to help support Dad as well, as I understand it can be an anxious time for him.

I also would be right there with you for the first few weeks post partum ,providing support in whatever form you may need- whether it be advice or help with swaddling, information on lactation or feeding your baby, or simply sourcing information for you.

I am open to your idea's and support you in your decisions - I strongly believe that women have the right to a safe, comfortable and relaxed birth, wherever they choose.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Default Trainee Doula Available Brisbane / Cairns

Hello to Everyone!

My name is Marie, I am 36 years old and a Mum to 4 children aged 9,7,5 and 1.

Located in Morningside BRISBANE until mid-September and thereafter in Smithfield CAIRNS. My email address is marie_71@optusnet.com.au

I am currently training as a Doula with Optimum Birth and am looking to provide support for three women in their choice of birth options and enviroments, FREE OF CHARGE, to complete my course.

I know the world of difference great support can make, not only in pregnancy and birth but long after the baby is born, which is the main reason I decided to become a Doula.
I believe I can provide non-judgemental care and attention to you and your baby to make your birth experience the best it can possibly be.

There is also a very good chance we can have a few laughs along the way!

I never tire of talking about pregnancy, birth and babies and I look forward to hearing from any expectant Mum's for a chat and/or to arrange a meeting.

Kind Regard
Marie

Hi ladies!

My name is Anna, Im 23 years old and recently started my doula training with Childbirth International. I am also mum to 2 little boys aged 20mths and 5mths.

As part of my certification I have to attend 2 births, free of charge, so I am looking for women who are interested in having a doula attend their birth.

I have had 2 induced, drug free active births of my own, but I am willing to support any woman in her choices regarding her birth experience as I believe everyone should be able to look back on it and be satisfied with how it happened - no matter what the circumstances. I completely loved my birth experiences and aim to help other women feel the same way about theirs! I also have personal experience in birthing after miscarriage, threatened pre term labour, pre eclampsia and infertility.

I can take clients from Townsville and surrounding area's with a EDD after July 4.

Please email me on ryanna@aapt.net.au or pm me via my BellyBelly profile if you would like more information.

Thankyou!

Hi to all you mums who are expecting their bundles of joy:

Im a student Doula who needs to meet and witness 3 beautiful bubs coming into the world:

My name is Ainsley and im 38 yrs to be married next March 2009 and have 2 beautiful children one 8yr old son and a 8 week old baby boy. Plus i have two stepsons who are in there teenage years 16yrs and 14 yrs!

I have completed my theory component to the Optimum Doula course. I live in Mebourne and in the Cheltenham/Bayside suburb . Im also a registered nurse and have been nursing for 10 years in ED and acute wards and have worked in nurseries on maternity wards in some of the big teaching hospitals here in melb.

My aim in being a Doula would be to help the women become enabled to fulfil their own potential expectations for their pregnancy and delivery. I would also like to think that i am a very approachable person and all my clients would have my unimited time if they needed me including going to OB/antenatal check up and U/S for either an extra support or the only support if need be.

I personally have had 2 vaginal births one assisted with induction drugs and vaccuum and the other started with the Gels and naturally developed to i could push my second son out with Gas and pethidine and wonderful support of my beautiful fiance and great g/friend by my side.

I hope to hear from expecting mums who would like an extra pair of hands and be comfortable enough to have me help you in the birthing process and or the whole pregnancy (would be a bonus).

As im a student this would all be free of charge and greatly appreciated!

If you are interested in meeting me please PM me here on BB and i will then give you my primus email address.

Thanks

Ainsley RN and student Doula.

Default Doula and Childbirth Educator in Training- Central Coast

Hello all...

my name is Lila and I am a Doula (Optimum Birth) and Childbirth Educator (CBI) in Training.

Located on the lovely Central Coast in NSW, and I am happy to cover all the Coast, down to Hornsby and up to Newcastle.

The philosphy I am aiming for is:

You shall be excited and joyful about your birth, your birth means you will finally greet your baby.
The way baby arrives in this world will be the right way for you, whatever way it is you want or have to go.
As your Doula I will make sure your way will be honoured and respected.

As every woman is different, I don't have one size fits all services, but rather discuss with you in person what kind of Doula support you want and need.

Me: Mother of 3 (3 C/S's) ; married: 34 years old; and lots of black humour ...
Maininterest: My main interests are supporting ladies in need of a med. nec. C/S 's and VBAC's

Please feel free to send me an email : cs.doula@yahoo.com.au

Your Lila

I am a birth mum to one and a step mum to another in my little household. If anyone has any inquiries for Doulas, CBE or PPD in southern tassie, please feel free to contact me at [email="bessiebaxta@yahoo.com.au"].

Hi there,

Fellow trainee nurse here having #3 and hoping for a vba2c in Jan'09 not at home but staying put for as long as possible.

We are in Hamilton Hill just east of Freo and close to the freeway but given that my situation is quite unique I would understand you wanting to give it a miss... I would hate to travel from Bunbury and end up with a mum who goes in for a cs.

I have just spoken to doula who I haven't met or discussed my situation with yet but I am feeling very positive about her. If she has no qualms about a trainee I certainly wouldn't.

I would love to support a fellow trainee and if my situation stays positive I am happy to contact you further down the track to see if you still need a mum.

Let me know if you would like me to keep you informed s.plewright@student.curtin.edu.au

Thanks
Sarah
