Thanks, Fishukie. I need to keep reminding myself that it's only early days yet! I'm still only on 50mg of clomid, so I've got room to increase and try that first.

I guess I'm just impatient - I want results now, dammit! And I'm also petrified of injections.

I was too! But they are honestly so easy. I was petrified of having to end up going on to FSH injections and really wanted to stick at clomid. I felt that going on to FSH would have been too intrusive, unnatural and scary with the injections. So when I had got to 150 of clomid and still no response I was devastated to hear I was going on to FSH. However I found it really easy. Surprisingly easy in fact. I never got onto the trigger shot though, so now I am petrified about that needle! I think though it is ok as long as you get a nurse or someone to do it.

However you have tons more clomid to go through before you are there. And this cycle may just be the one! Seems like a ton of people have ovulated late on clomid so don't give up yet!

Thanks Sue, I've just done some reading from the site.
I did the self-test & it said I should get testing done.
When I go to my review I will be printing out and taking lists from both the website and your list.
Thanks for your information.

And, by the sounds of it, good luck on your cycle.

He checked through my tests and said everything was ok. I had already had some.

We are going to try another cycle using Clexane.
Last chance! So I thought I may as well try it.
Sue, how're you going.

Glad to hear all is clear Tam - as much as we want answers it is also good that they havent given you that one that we all dread hearing.

Im just going to butt in and post my experiences here. I have been seeing Dr Sacks too, on a certain Miss' wonderful suggestion... my tests all came back pretty clear bar for slight clotting issue (explains the stroke) which can be closely monitored and helped with low dose aspirin... We have to travel over an hour to visit him - but he is the most caring, attentive and knowledgable doctor I have dealt with in our 6 year journey. If it werent for him we would be none the wiser of DH's tumour situation.

And despite his distance from us and our not needing him for his expertise in immunology we will still be going through him for any future cycles simply for the fact that he seems to actually believe you matter IYKWIM.... So clearly, I couldnt recommend him highly enough and am so grateful to 'the Q' for her putting me onto him.

Probably sounds a bit of a rant, Im sure but as you all know it can be very hard to find someone who listens to you in this industry... so when i find one I let everyone know

Cool

Hi Girls
Tam, really glad to read that you don't have any immunology issues. Have you had Clexane before? I'm pretty good with needles but that one hurts
Keen, I couldn't agree with you more about Gavs. He really does care about his patients. I phoned him last month with a question - hadn't spoken to him since July. He knows I went to QLD to cycle in August. He was so helpful and kind + he actually remembered me Asked me to keep in touch and let him know what happens with things.
Which, is nothing at the moment incidentally! Hoping to cycle again in February. My will be out of their 6 month quarantine period by then - so much wasted time
Anyway, hope you're all keeping well.

Keen,
It was interesting to hear of your experience with Dr S. I did a telephone consult with him (I am in Qld) and he spent almost an hour on the phone (maybe not quite but he didn't rush!) and was very very interested in me as a person and my experiences. It was a refreshing surprise!

He has asked me to keep in contact via email to advise him of the course of treatment that I and my obs decide on. Of course I have used his advice and hopefully it will result in a live healthy baby in 2007.
Wishing you that too Keen for this coming year...

Agreed Deb. I think 2007 is the year to "flush" us all out of this forum and into pg land!

Sue, hope you see this question,
I noticed at the beginning you said you had a uterine biopsy, can I ask what that involves.
I was possibly thinking of asking my clinic questions about whether they can test my endometrium to see if it's ok for implantation.

I'm starting to pull at straws.

Tam, thanks for posting and bumping this up again. The information in here is very useful for many people. I hope you get some answers from these tests.

Robert Jansen's book (my fertility bible) was the thing that clued me in to autoimmune factors in miscarriage and infertility. It was something that preyed heavily on my mind considering my health history and the diagnosis of thrombophilia in the family line. It's such a specialised field I agree. And well worth the time trying to track down an expert in it if you are experiencing those sorts of problems.

Bless you ladies. Love and luck for 2007.

Might sticky this thread. I think this is a great subject on further testing.
