Newcastle Private regarding immunisation
Hi all
I am due to give birth next year at NPH and do not want my baby to be immunized. I have two other children who have suffered as a result of immunization and I have no intention of risking the same thing happening to this one.
Our regular GP has reccommended against immunizing this baby and I am happy with that.
My question is what are the staff at NPH like in regards to immunisation. I have to have a medical ceasar and will probably be in hosp. for several days afterwards and I don't feel like being harrassed about the immunisation the whole time I am there.
Why I am concerned is that a friend of mine gave birth at John Hunter hosp. (accross the road from NPH) she also has 2 children that have been seriously and permanently damaged by immunisation and she refused to have her newborn immunized for the same reasons. The midwives absolutely harrassed her and her husband and accused them of being neglegent parents. Fotuneately for her she had a natural delivery and went home as soon as she could, so was able to avoid any constant badgering.
I was wondering if anyone has had a similar experience at NPH, or are they more pro choice?
Regards
