Default I Give Up! LOL! Different brand, faint BFP again!!!!

lol

Well, tested this morning... using a different brand, that was suggested by a girlfriend (First Response).

Using FMU, and within the time frame was a VERY VERY faint second line.

It if hard to see, if its up close you have to change angles, but from a distance you can see its there... especially if i held it against a plain bit of white paper. DF is convinced he can not see a thing, which is frustrating for me. BUT, i had the DEFINATE BFN's the other day (using pregnosis) so know i am not just going insane.

I have a DR appt at 12.20pm today, so will just get a blood test over and done with.

I just wanted to know, has anyone else has a test so faint, that was easier to see from a distance (like arms length) than up close??? and a test that thier significant other couldnt see but you could???

Hoping to have solid answers soon!!!!!!

I have had a + HPT that was like the one you are describing but it was a different brand. I was pregnant but it resulted in an early loss. I hope that's not the case with you though. Best of luck with the BT. Fingers crossed it's a + one.

I have been following your story, and yes with baby number 5 all the tests kept telling me no and knowing my body i kept telling me yes. We spent about $50+ on hpt and the first couple were definatly no then the next lot were sooo faint, it was driving me crazy, hubby said untill he saw a big bold dark line that he was taking it as a no. 2 weeks after my period was due still had a faint line that you had to squint to see. My fingers are crossed for you. My baby is 5 months old and happy and healthy. We call him our little miracle, i was told that the pregnancy was not viable and i would loose him by 12 weeks, he was born at 38 weeks. We are trying for number 6 soon, and i know ill be going to do the whole test thing again, which just drives you nuts.
Love to hear how your results go.

mine have both been faint. How overdue is AF? or are you testing early?

IMO 2 faint positives are BFPs! So I will be optimistic and say congratulations!

Thank you guys...

Andrea- eeek. How much would that mess with you? i really hope this isnt the case for me!!!

Satya- so sorry about your loss.. i too, hope it isnt the case for me. Guess we will know by this time tomorrow!!!

Lisa- thanks for your long reply... wow.. how weird is that??????? give me hope.

Liz- AF was due yesturday. Thanks for your optomisim

WELL... went to the dr... she did her math, and got the same as me.. AF due yesturday so im 4 weeks and 1 day (if i am) she laughed and said "do you realise it is still SO SO SO very early, that even though you have got a faint bfp just because it isnt getting darker right now means nothing... it is so early!!! She said she wouldnt exect it to be darker at least until 5 weeks, so not to stress."

But she sent me for bloods anyway, to rest my mind. She asked if i wanted my referral to the hospital today too, but i said no.. i need and want to wait until i have a YES YOU ARE PREGNANT! lol

Was told results would be in by the morning!

SO... now to wait.............................................. .... im quite anxious, but i have to say between the nausea i had all of last night and the nausea today, ill be so darn surprised if it comes back negative!

Ok, so ill update as soon as i know. I work tomorow so if i dont know before 9am, i wont be home until after 7 so.. lol might get hubby to jump on tomorrow and atleast share the results with you lovely ladies

Thanks again guys! xo

I don't want to get your hopes up, but I have heard of false negative bloods.
Only a few days ago I heard that HPTs are more reliable.
But as I said, don't get your hopes up.

Both pregnancies the tests were very faint, even at the Dr's they were in doubt due it taking a little while to appear. First pregnancy went with no hassles, 2nd there was a threatened miscarriage at 5 1/2 weeks. So there is some hope with faint tests. Good luck

Oh, sorry to hear of that result.

I too have heard of false neg blood tests, because they have a certain HCG level that they classify as negative. So you could be pg, but so early that there's not enough HCG for them to confirm your pregnancy.. if that makes sense.

But yeah, keep playing that waiting game until AF eithers shows up or not. Good luck!
