Default Faint positive line on OPK & other questions..

This is the second time i have used OPK's. Neither time i have received a strong 2nd line. I was reading on Lullaby Conceptions that some people perhaps have a quick LH surge, and need to test twice a day to ensure that they actually can pinpoint Ovulation.
Has anyone done this, and had better results?
If i am getting a faint 2nd line, does this mean then that I am not fertile enough? Does it mean that i am perhaps not even ovulating?
If I get a bt done to ensure ovulation, how soon after 'assumed' ovulation should i get the bt done? Eg, i am booked to see my GP on tuesday, and I want to ask if I can get the BT done to see if I have ovulated. According to my faint line on teh OPK, i ovulated Wednesday or Thursday, (more likely Wednesday evening ish thou).
Is Tuesday then to late to pick up anything?

I never really took this path when TTC Aiden, even thou it took over a year to conceive him. So all this testing of OPK's and LH surge's are very new to me, so, sorry if this seems simple, or, doesnt even make sense, cause i might not understand things correctly

Usually you get a BT 7 days after the day of ovulation. What time of the day are you testing? I get much darker lines if I wait til about 6pm. If you have a faint line, it could mean that your LH is about to surge, or that it has surged and is now lowering. Either way get off the net and . Good luck!

Debbie - I tried lullaby OPK`s about 4 months ago, I had enough I used them for two months, I never got a 2nd line not even a faint one, last month I brought some forelife OPK`s, I always got a faint line with them and got a strong + at CD9 (I`m really not sure now if that was a + or not as I never felt any o pains etc).

I`m also wondering that I don`t actually O every month, I have recently got a BT form from my GP to check my prog (I had to pull her arm for it though ), she told me to have my BT on CD16 or 17 but I`ve been told other GP`s say wait till CD21.

I`ve also just started charting this month (first month ever) so I`m assuming that will tell me if I`m actually Oing as well.

Good Luck Deb
