Did your clinic folow up after the birth?
I was thinking the last few days about taking Juliette out to the clinic to show her off, but just hadn't gotten around to it just yet. Strangely enough I got a phone call from the nurse I mainly dealt with just now. She was calling to see how everything went with the pregnancy & birth etc. I thought it was lovely of her to think of us & ring So I wondered if this is the norm, do they usually call to follow up?

My FS was also my ob, so we naturally had a fair bit to ddo with the clinic during the pregnancy, and our FS"S secretary was our first visitor after ds' birth. That was lovely.
I don't know whether they would have followed up if things had been different, but I would like to think that they would have, having been such a big part of that chapter in our life.

Yep my clinic did
they actually sent a survey out for me to fill in.
They do it after every postivie pg test.
So i also did one when i m/c.
They then rang after they got the survey to make sure we were doing OK as my twins birth had been so complicated (they nearly didnt survive). My son by that stage had been diagosed with a medical condition that would affect his fertility when he is older. They rang back deliberately a few months after their birth to tell me that they had had patients come through with the same medical condition as my son and had successfully given birth to a healthy baby. They were world leaders in this area. It was the best news i had ever heard.
After i m/c at 12 weeks and they found out through my survey, they rang to make sure that i was OK emotionally and offered their councelling services to me- they were the only medical provider that i dealt with, that asked me if I was OK.
so yes- i think the fact that they have to be so accountable for their statistics that they do regularly follow up to keep them up to date.
Its soo good to be one of their success stories hey!!!

I gave birth at the same hospital as my IVF clinic. So we rang my FS to let him know and he did come down and visit. Otherwise I can't remember any follow up calls or correspondence after the birth.

We had the survey thing as well Odette.
We went in on Wednesday & our FS was thrilled. He said not many people bring their bubs in, but they do get photos sometimes. I took photos of Juliette with our FS & our head nurse, they asked for copies to put in their photo album

I think by law they are required to obtain info by the survey thingy. We got one of those to fill out and a congratulatory card.
How nice of your clinic Odette!

I called our clinic to tell them about our +ve HPT, and I got another nurse as ours was away. She told me I needed to go in to the clinic (1000k's away) for a BT and she wasn't going to consider it a +ve until I had a BT!
I got a survey from them about a week or 2 before DS was born, but haven't heard anything else from them.
Sarah, I think that's beautiful that you took Juliette in for a visit I'm going to send a photo to the FS who did our EPU and transfer, when I get around to having some cards done up.

I got another call from our clinic a couple of days ago, asking if we had a boy or girl? their birthdate, name, weight if we had a c/s or not, and who was our OB.
