OK, gotta be quick....

Lisa - I am so sorry to hear that your FIL passed away. I remembered he was ill. Funny that you don't call her Lexie. We named our DD Victoria, because her dad wanted to call her Tori but I couldn't come at that, kept having images of Tori Spelling popping into my head...she hardly ever gets called Tori, it's Victoria! Although as she gets older it seems a bit more appropriate but I just couldn't call a baby girl Tori Funny how things like that turn out...

Jayne - PMSL, I was talking about you and your bunnies last night to DH. I want to get one for DD. He won't let me. Pity you're not closer or I'd nab me one of those Willow-ettes for her!! Do you express post to Sydney?? LOL!

Deb - sending you all the vibes i can muster but need to save a bit for myself, my outlaws live 2 mins away and have been here twice today already!! Hope Immy's cold doesn't get serious. Logan has a cold too but looks like it's finally starting to clear.

Sez - glad Nicholas' party went well. We have L's christening next week and man the food preparation alone is sending me batty!! I realised today I haven't even sorted something for me to wear (or DD for that matter, L is sorted) because I've been thinking about food so much!! Glad the mastitis is clearing and you'r efeeling better. Got an email from our group leader about training the other day

Spring - glad you guys had a good Anzac day!

Better go but be back when I can...got a very busy week coming up with L's christening and my (**gulp**) 30th next weekend. Got family and friends flying in etc and trying hard not to do my usual and turn into a stressed, over anxious nightmare! LOL.

Janie - I really can't believe that Nicholas is one already...I remember your posting the night your waters broke..boy that year has gone. HAPPY BIRTHDAY for Nicholas. Yey on the mastitis clearing up.

Willow - I have Loren's christening on the 18th of May and my bday in the same week too!! Plus my DH will be in WA on busiess for the week before the christening I am doing all the cooking as well, although I have delgated certain dishes out to other family memebers.

Thanks everyone for advice re Lorens's sleeping. It is getting to the point where I am dreading sleep time and I just hate lowering her into the cot because I know that I'll get screaming instantly. Although today I tried a different approach and it seemed to work. I just cuddled her for a bit, and then put her in the cot to play. I left the room and waited for her to fuss and cry out. I then returned picked her up, comforted her and put her back. Then waited for the cry, went in picked her up and put her back. This actually helped avoide the really terrible out of control type screaming and she managed to go down peacefully. DH is not helping, he thinks I am making a rod for my own back and that I should just shut the door and let her cry...I'll do this for a 2 yo but not a baby.

BEK _ You hit the nail right on the head! A 2yo you can say 'stop being so silly & lie down & go to sleep' & they understand what you're telling them, a baby doesn't have that concept as yet. I did very similar to Jessica as to what you're doing right now, just doing it over & over but not letting herself get worked up about it. I found the first time I did it, it took 50minutes & by the 3rd day, I'd put her in her cot & she wouldn't even fuss. Keep it up honey! You're doing fantastic. It's once they hit that point of hysteria that you can't calm them down & you both end up totally frazzled.

I have to go, it's incredibly late & we have a big day tomorrow & I've had a gf & her 3 children over for dinner tonight.

Loves!

Thanks gals for your kinds words for Robs dad....

Janie - HAPPY 1ST BDAY TO NICHOLAS!!! Glad he had a smashing day They just grow too quickly.

Bek - Good luck with all the food prep - if you lived closer Id offer to deliver some dishes to your door. GOod luck, self catering is always stressful but worth it. I took the easy way out - I had Alexandra's xning at a restaurant! Hope it goes well though, Alexandra was chirstened on the 18th (of Nov though), and I didnt find an outifit til the day before!! DOnt worry, it all comes together on the day.

Willow, good luck for your busy week too!! Whats the plan for your party and teh christening? I turned 30 this year too, went quitely though out to dinner at a posh place as it was v close to FIL passing.

Hope all you other lovies are doing well and soaking up the long weekend. Its my easter this weekend, so off to lunch at MIL's followed by supper with my folks. I was planning to take Alexandra to church tomorrow but the forecast is dismal and I dont fancy taking her out in that sort of weather.

Good nite, hope all the bubba's are in dream land...(speaking of which, thats where I need to be..Im going now)

I have been trying to organise photos whilst listening to Ben Harper! Loving this afternoon!!! This morning I read the papers, ate too much and drank too many cups of tea!

I hope you are all having a lovely day. You will find the new thread HERE
