Auntie M - I think it is natural to fear SIDS after what we have been through. Do you have movement monitors over there? We have and I have one for Ethan and it is priceless, without it I think I would be sleeping next to him with my hand on his chest. Yes the time goes way too fast - I can't believe Ethan is nearly onto solids either. How is that gorgeous girl of yours going?

Hey girls, have had a great day out so feeling much, much better. The lil' man and I dropped DD at preschool then headed out for the day (well half of it anyway!!). We had breakfast at a cafe (we shared some raisin toast! LOL) and I took him to get his photos done too! Not the best week with him being sick, but he is actually much better today. The photos turned out pretty good, I'm really happy with them. But you know the deal, they try to get you to spend a fortune but I'm usually pretty good, I take the freebie and then only one or two others. If they're not great shots, they stay there. So only cost me $160 for three photos. Pretty happy with that. Love that it's all digital now, not like back in the day with DD (a whole 3 years ago! LOL).
Did a bit of shopping too, just for the kids, not me. Got DD some more clothes for preschool. I don't like her wearing her good clothes, they just get trashed so I always go to Best & Less or Big W and get her some cute but cheap stuff to wear to school.
Our paed from the hospital called me back this morning too. He is not concerned about L's head circ and said when he plotted it on his charts, he is continuing the same pattern of growth. He asked how he was going generally and I said 'um, terrible!' hehehe. So we had a chat about his sleeping issues and he's squeezed us in next week at his clinic, just to have a chat and check him over. Did I mention how much I like this guy?? I think he's picked up I'm a bit more anxious than the average mum! Bless him.
Our night last night was much improved. Still very unsettled between 6pm and 10pm and needing a lot of comfort to go to sleep. The second half of the night is much better and days have pretty much returned to normal. DD has had two great nights too so that really helps.
Hope all are well!

Hi guys - just a quick one from the land of grumpiness. The little person isn't sleeping (so what else is new ) and back to waking EVERY hour unsettled. He could be teething, he does have a low grade virus and he is generally miserable. Consequently, so am I!! Everything is *mum mum* and he is a clingy little bundle of misery. I am feeling better - just the residual viral cough although there is a strong chance of getting another nasty after looking after a very sick little person at work last night.
*edna* is doing fine (I think) I can feel intermittent movements even though it is early - gotta love the little tickles on the cervix and the bleeding has settled. It still flares up occasionally but it is old blood so it is just something to live with.
Anyway - love and hugs to you all (and thank you for checking up on me Janie and Deb) I will be back - just need the boy to sleep and be a little more settled. I live in hope

Lisa I'm pleased that you are feeling better today and you have your gorgeous little princess back home with you even if she's a bit grizzly.
Willow good on you for having a lovely day shopping with "L".
I bet DD is thrilled with her new "school clothes"
Thats great news that you've been able to score an appointment with your lovely paed next week. What a champ he is for fitting you guys in. We are lucky with our Paed too. Nothing is ever a problem whenever I have a question or feel Sage needs to be seen for whatever reason.
Michelle How great it is that "Edna" is tickling your cervix lol. I just can't seem to wipe the smile off my face when I think of you and little Edna. I'm just soooo happy for you hun.
I hope Mr O starts feeling alot better soon and realises that sleep is a great thing to do. I hope his teeth come through soon(not like Sage's teeth. I feel like I've been saying "he's teething" for months and months now) Oh that would be because I have been and he still hasn't cut any.
I'm having a bit of a quiet weekend. DH has gone away AGAIN and our dog isn't well. We had him at the vet yesterday afternoon and he has a pretty bad ear infection which is allergy related so his skin and feet are REALLY itchy. He's on antibiotics and had a cortisone injection and we have to go back again in 2 weeks.
Sage is asleep atm and I'm making my second batch of pumpkin soup for the week. I've learnt that Sage LOVES it so I've decided to make some and put it in the freezer. It has heaps of vegies in it too so atleast he's eating them now
To Lynn,Anna,Spring,Jayne,Janie,Aunty M,Hope and others I know I have missed.
I hope you are all ok and have a lovely weekend.

Otherwise all is good.
Quick q..DD has 5 teeth now, but no new ones for a while.. how long generally between teeth or is it one of those things that varies for each child?

Hey Ladies,
I love you! & miss you all! I have been sooooooo missing catching up on you all.
We've had Alan home for his R&R & then both the kids got sick & Claudy has had 3 ear infections on the span of a month, so hasn't been very fun at our place. We are scheduled for grommets on 17 July. Also, I start back at work for 3 weeks on Monday. End of Financial Year, no staff, ringing me begging, it all goes from there. I haven't worked in nearly 4 years! I don't think I'll even remember how to operate the kettle! It's made me stress big time, but family have stepped up to have the kids, so I think it will be good for me & them! 4 days for 3 weeks, no sweat! Yeah right! LOL.
I'll catch up with you all properly soon, have to bath the messy monsters!
Love jayne

Slowly dying with a second virus (yep - from the poppet last week ) The boy has been sleeping better (thankfully) so I am trying to recuperate. Another gush of bleeding on Sunday (same day and time even!!!) which has settled again and a quick scan showed a heartbeat and movement so I am just taking it one day at a time. Must go and rescue my knitting from the boy who is sitting on the coffee table - will try to get back later today **MWAH**

Hi everyone. I have been popping in and out. I have been quite ill. I had an horrendous migraine and the arthritis is spiking again. The pain in my left hip has me really on the edge. So hoping it eases soon. I have end of term parties for my littlies this week - one each day! I am feeling really really ordinary.

Big hugs to everone else!

Thank you for letting us know SB - that is wonderful news
Well, I am still feeling like complete cr@p. My throat is killing me, my cough is painful and VERY irritating and I am so tired. The little person is sleeping a little better which helps but his continual waking is starting to wear DH out and he is then frustrated with the wake ups through the night. Mainly because the little person is waking up screaming for no reason we can find and takes a while to settle him again. I don't have the energy to work out how to get him to sleep in his own bed (or room even) so we are resorting to me sleeping with the little person in the other room. And then I am getting annoyed with DH because I am SICK for goodness sake and I am still doing the night shift AND working AND growing a new little person AND trying to get better We are off together tomorrow so we are likely to have a *discussion* about this. Some sharing of the load would be nice.
Anyway - enough venting. Off to take some more panadeine so I can swallow and (hopefully) sleep. My teeth are going to rot and fall out from all of the butter menthols I am sucking overnight while I am asleep to stop the cough though. It has to get better soon ..........
Love and germ free requests for everyone - as well as a few sleepy vibes for the wakeful. I will be back in a (hopefully) better mood tomorrow.

I hope everyone is OK - you are all MIA
Another bleed last night - woke with blood trickling down my leg after some prolonged episodes of coughing. Scan this morning shows a living and moving *edna* who is getting tossed from pillar to post with this extremely violent coughing that just won't end. The bleeding has settled again but I just want it all to stop.
On a positive note - Oscar and I are going to be in the Sunday Telegraph this weekend It will be in the sports section and a promotion of women in sport (as well as babywearing - because that is how I carry him and do the things I do. Not that they know that ). There is a cute pic (apparently) from the day before his first birthday where he is on my back and watching me take out stitches
Hope you will all return to chat soon - and Mako - are you still free next week?? Or is it the week after?? I can check my roster and we could arrange a meet. I am happy to volunteer my place to allow the little people space to move.
