Thanks Bek. I don't think its a bad thing either, it's really worked well for us till now, but it's not something that can go on forever. He's physically just too big and mobile for it now. I figure the longer I leave it the harder it will become
I'm glad to see you posting again, have missed you around here!
Don't know what the hell I'm still doin on here, kids have been asleep since 6.30/7pm and DH is out, I should be in bed sleeping!! Just catching up a bit, have cut back my BB time recently so don't get on very often at night anymore, mainly just to check this thread or when L is sleeping.

Thanks Willow is it nice to be missed. I am doing the same thing. DH has been at soccer and I managed to get the girls to bed early (miracle) so I have been on BB ever since. I have cut back on BB too, mainly because my marriage needs a bit of tlc so I am spending most nights talking to DH instead. Best go Loren is crying...all the best hon

Hi ladies,
Just a quickie from me before I go off to sleep.
Bek - so glad to see you in here!! What a clever little cookie Miss L is!
A big hello to everyone else, im v tired, we had friends over who have a DD 3wks older than my little miss, and they ran riot, but oh so cute together! Alex went to sleep with noooooo trouble (WT??) i think it must have been all the playing that wore her out!
But I do have a question for all you seasoned mummies... as mentioned above, friends DD is 3 weeks older than Alex, anyhow, she is under one. Well my friend is worried as her DD has hair 'down there'. Like we do, but only much less, but its still there. Is this something she should worry about?
Thanks ladies,
Lisa XX

Lisa, without being a worrywart, I think that your friend should definitely have her bubba looked at. Hopefully it's nothing to worry about, but it's best to know for sure.
On a brighter note, I'm glad Miss A had a lovely time, it's so cute watching them play together isn't it! Yay for the good sleeping too!
On that topic.........my little man is stil in his cot! WOOHOO! Very rare occurence at this time of morning girls. I'm not sure if he woke during the night, DH will have attended to him, but I feel great after 6 hours of uninterrupted sleep Just wish I didn't ahve to get up to go to work. Bl00dy 5.30 starts grrrrr. And it's raining, which makes me feel bad for dragging him out of bed, but hey, what can you do? I shouldn't complain, we're lucky he gets to go to my mum's and get spolit rotten
Spring/Lynn, I've been thinking alot about Mel, I hope she's doing okay. You guys too

Lisa: DS also has some hair on his scrotum. We have been through a whole range of tests because it can be a symptom of some endocrine conditions or early puberty (called precocious puberty) but thankfully (as is usually the case with most bubs) DS is within the range of normal.
It was scary at the time for us, DS had to have a number of BT's and examinations but he is fine. We are seeing a great Paed who is keeping an eye on DS's development during childhood to keep an eye out for other virilising (sp?) symptoms. Things to look out for include rapid growth (can get a bone scan), acne (not just the usual baby stuff), body odour, increased penile length (for boys obviously), darkening of the genitals etc.
It is worth checking, but as I said is generally nothing to be worried about. My paed said he has seen some little girls with lactating breasts and some boys with facial hair and their hormone levels have still been within the range of normal
HTH
Feel free to PM me if you want any more info.
Willow: I tried the gentle approach to unwrapping DS but he was just getting more and more frustrated so one morning sleeping when he was about 5 months, after re-wrapping the kid for about the 10th time I just took it off all together. Low and behold, IT WORKED. He still sleeps in a sleeping bag but that is more so because he travels around the cot and blankets don't stay on. What you are doing sounds like it is working so I say just go with your instinct.
Janie: Whoo Hoo for DS still being in his cot. How long did he last? Thanks for asking about Mel. She is hanging in there. She is fairly angry at the moment which is totally understandable. I''ll let her know you are thinking of her. She is a strong woman and if anyone can get through this, it is her and her DH.
Bek: It is funny you mention your marriage needing TLC. Last night out of the blue DH said that he wished he could support me like my BB friends. He said sometimes he wishes I wouldn't spend so much time on BB so I've decided to cut back when he is at home.
Sydney girls: Can I suggest a shopping centre for Tuesday. I'm going to need to get to the shops next week so morning tea in a cafe and a wander sounds good. Mako, we can head in your direction if you want. From memory Hornsby was good for you. I have no idea how everyone else is situated in comparison to Hornsby so let me know.

Lisa - I would reccommend your friend sees a pead just to be sure all is ok.
Spring - My DH asked me a few months ago if I would rather be married to BB!!! It made me feel so bad but I also need a bit of mum to mum support too iykwim. Glad all the tests came back ok

Bek - my DH has had isues with it too. Can't blame him really, i used to be on every night. Now I only get on while DS is sleeping during the day and DD is either at preschool or otherwise happily occupied or at night when the kids are in bed and DH is out. I'm also mainly sticking to this thread and occasionally my baby buddies and other threads. Have to say it's improved my head space a lot and DH is enjoying my company in the evenings again.

Hi
Spring I'm more than happy to meet anywhere in Sydney.I don't mind if we go back to Blacktown or go to Michelle's place.
Well I think its safe to say that we are on the road to being better again.I'm feeling so much better in myself and the AB's seem to have kicked in for Sage. His eyes are clear and his chest seems to be much clearer too
Hope you all have a good weekend

Anywhere works for me - just give me a location I have a car and I know how to get most places so a shopping centre is fine. My place is still on offer too. Sooooooo ........... who's going to choose

Janie: Wish you could come.
Well Blacktown is best for me because I'll only have a few hours so it means less time in the car, but Mako, you have to come from Newcastle so it is up to you.
I'll say Blacktown subject to Mako's approval. There you go a decision, well kinda anyway.

Blacktown is good for us too - I'll have DD with me so we won't be able to stay all that long, her patience for long days of shopping expired somewhere around her second bday!
What time?
Janie - I think i remember Jayne saying Claudy was going to have grommets put in becuase of her recurring ear infections, so hopefully that's what it is.
Jayne, hope you post soon and let us know how you are all going.
Pleased to say that the going to sleep without the wrap is much improved. If that was as bad as it got, I'll consider myself very lucky! We'll see though, I don't tend to escape these things easily.

Sorry to hear that Deb, hope she's all better soon and you both get some rest at home - almost impossible at the hossy.
Ummmm Mako - does your DH post on a fishing forum? I just sat down at the 'puter and DH had a page of his forum open - was a post by a guy who's user name was Mako and he lives in your area...surely that's too much of a coincidence??!! Did he brake a rod this morning?? Too funny!!

Awww Mako you poor thing, I hate days like that...is he still unwell? That could be why he's so unsettled.
Lynn - been meaning to ask if you are coming along on Tuesday? Would love to see you again but understand if you're not up to it yet.
