Thanks everyone for all of your loving support! I feel so blessed to have you.
I am in a really really good space. Feeling calm and relaxed.

I am trying to get all the stuff together for DS7 (8 on Saturday!!) to go to camp.

Deb - I am sorry to hear that the issues in your marriage have reached this point but very happy to see you both working so hard to get things back on track. I think it's a rare relationship that can emerge unscarred after the loss of a child, let alone what you've both been through. As you know, my own relationship has taken a beating over the last few years with our loss, infertility treatment, my issues with anxiety following L's birth and the challenges of a new baby. It sounds like you are on the right path to get things back to where you want them to be. I wish you the best of luck, I will have your family in my thoughts.

Thanks for everyone who asked how we are going here - nights are fantastic, he has slept through every night since we've been home, which is a week tomorrow . Days are still hit and miss. I'm generally getting one good sleep and one dodgy sleep. But this is a process that can take time and his sleeping habits have completely changed so i'm not expecting all round perfection. Will admit to dropping the bundle a bit this morning but other than that, we're trucking on. He went down this afternoon without a fuss and slept for 2 hours, so my faith is somewhat restored.

In other news...heading back to work on Thursday...eeeeeeep! Am OK with everything except how DS will sleep at MILs. But I just keep telling myself it is out of my control and what will be, will be. It is certainly going to be strange putting a suit on again and heading into the grown up world! I look forward to lots of aspects of it but leaving L is going to be hard. He is much more dependant on me than V was at this age. But getting a full nights sleep and getting his b'feeds into a predictable pattern has certainly halved the stress factor.

I hope all are well, will BBL in the week for more personals and to let you know how the big return to work goes!

Oh, just quickly...Mako - one of my best friends was admitted to be induced yesterday (she's 41w2d or 41w5d depending who you're talking to) because her amniotic fluid levels had dropped to the 5th percentile and they were concerned for bub's well being. I was with her last night till 10pm (cause you know, I can do that now!! ), they'd done one gel application and she started having mild contractions within an hour, not much was happening this morning so just waiting for some news now. They have warned her though that they'll be watching bub closely and that she should be prepared for the possibility of a caesar. All this sound familiar??? LOL.

Willow: Fantastic to hear L's sleeping has improved out of sight. We are down to one wake up in 12 hours sleep so gradually things are getting better here also. You'll be fine at work, it took me a while to get used to it but we are in such a routine now it just seems to go fairly smoothly. I'm sure L will be fine sleeping at MIL's.

Mako: Sage is such a clever boy it's amazing to watch them grow isn't it? Oliver is a proper little toddler now, he is not a baby anymore. He can almost run and is chatting away so much to me. I just love this age.

Deb: Glad to hear that you are feeling ok. I wish only happiness for you and your family.

Lisa: We had a big party for Oliver which was just great. How awesome that the wife got a mustang. Now that's love.

Michelle: How you doing hun? I know this is a tough time in your pregnancy so just know we are here if you need us.

Well Oliver had his first swimming lessons yesterday. I was so proud, day one and he let me put his face under the water up to his nose (that's mouth and all)!!!! I have taken him in the shower with me from about 6 weeks old and always try to put his face under the water stream just a bit so it has paid off. The other amazing thing is that by the end of the lesson he was kicking. I saw him intently watching the other kids and before you know it he was doing it himself. One proud mumma here Anyway, I'm off to the mum's and Bubs movie and then Oliver has his 12 month needles I don't cope well with needles and DH is away so wish me luck.

Yay for Alexandra! Now the fun begins Lisa
Bump is doing ok, cant believe Im 12wks on sunday! Feels like its slooooooooooooooooooooowly moving along. I have to wait for my nuchal scan on monday week, Im going to worry myself to death til then even though I know everything is likely to be fine. This preg has just been so easy right from conception considering everything thats happened before I keep thinking its too good to be true. If Bean ends up being a girl I think I'll laugh and ask where all the hidden camera's are

Spring, good luck with the vax's and yay for Olivers swimming!!!

Anna, holy smoke, I can't believe you are almost 12 weeks. I know it must seem as if it has been slow to you but OMG it seems to have gone quick from the outside looking in. Hopefully the next week or so flys by for you. Everything crossed for a wonderful scan.

Lisa: What a clever little girl A is Everyone warned me that I'd wish he was still just crawling when O started to walk, but I love it. We play catch, chasey and it is so nice to go for walks around the park and explore the flowers. You'll love it.

Deb: Thanks for the Support today. I know you know my needle thing.

Well we survived, JUST. DH is away so it was up to me to be brave. There was a huge wait at the doctors and by the time we got into the nurse to get Oliver's Jabs I was a nervous wreck. Bright red, feeling hot and sweaty, the works. For those of you who don't know I am renound for being a sook when it comes to needles and faint at the sight of a syringe. Anyway, the nurse could see that I wasn't the greatest (OMG, you'd think it was all about me ) and got another nurse to hold Oliver whilst I did the comforting up the 'no needle end'. Surprisingly, 3 needles later he cried for about 20 seconds and was fine, me on the other hand still blubbering all the way to the car (lol).

Anyway, that's it for a while at least. we are off to Thailand for Christmas so need some more in a few weeks, but Hubby will be doing those needles for sure.

hey girls, just have to duck in quickly with a question for the b'feeding mummas - how many feeds were your little ones having at around 10/11 months? Since DS started sleeping through the night he's only having 3 feeds a day. I think I'm going to try to get him to have another in the afternoon before dinner if I can. I offered it to him this afternoon but he lost interest after about 2 mins. I am happy for him to have 3 on the days that I work because that just makes things so much more manageable and would be totally happy with 3 per day once he turns one (which OMG, is only 6 weeks away!!) but I'm thinking 4 might be better for now?

Don't want to post in the b'feeding forum because...well I'm just not in the mood for people telling me they feed their bub around the clock . It's just not practical for us now that I'm going back to work.

Spring - how many is Ollie having these days?

BBL for a proper post, trying to get organised for our big day tomorrow

Hey Willow

DS is down to 2 and TBO the morning one he really isn't interested, too much going on to stop for a feed. Tonight, he wasn't even that interested in his pre-bed boobie. DS eats heaps though and has started to drink plenty of water.

If it helps, he usual day is like this.

7.00am Breakfast - Usually weet bix and fruit or toast, water

9.00-9.30 Morning tea - Offer boobie not always keen but will eat yoghurt and homemade muffin or cheese and water

11.30-12.00noon - Lunch - anything from leftovers from last nights dinner, to sandwhich, cruskits and humous, vegetable sticks, fruit (strawberrys and kiwi fruit are his fav ATM) quiche etc After he has eaten I also offer a sippy cup with cows milk. Not always interested but will usuall have about 100 mls.

2.00 -2.30pm. Afternoon tea, same as morning tea. Perhaps an arrowroot and a banana, water.

6.00pm - dinner, tonight was homemade chicken rissoles and veg followed by custard. Usually he has a rather big meal, tomorrow night is Lamb Korma. He also gulps down water with dinner

7.00pm- Boobie (tonight was the first time he wasn't so interested. Fell off quickly) and bed.

I no longer express at work. On the days he is in day-care I just leave cows milk for him. He doesn't drink much of it, he is much more interested in water and waiting until I see him.

Sorry for the mammoth post but HTH

Spring

Willow - my little one was the same and from one year old quickly dropped to one feed a day (usually in the early hours of the morning ) At about 10m he was doing the 2-3 feeds a day thing too.

Just home from work and back for a critical incident review in the morning. Yuck!! Sleep deprivation is messy. The little man has been ok but really unbalanced but it still worries me and if it is not better in a few more days we will get him checked again. Probably just post viral but still. His head has soooooo many bruises on it and the unsteadiness is more than just being a toddler. The girl is rolling around and kicking so I am ok there at the moment ...............

Spring - Thailand for Christmas sounds wonderful!!! But I might be a little busy this year to say the least

Anna - woo hoo on the first trimester almost being over and you being so well!!!

Lisa - you could join us

Hello to Janie, Jayne (sound like a name I once heard ) and Deb

14 weeks to Christmas!!!!!!!!!

Janie Yep I'm on FB. I'll PM you my details so you can look me up if you want

Willow I hope your 1st day at work is going great. Looking forward to hearing about it.

Spring Oh I'm so jealous. Thailand sounds wonderful. Its a place where I've always wanted to go but DH is totally against it for some reason. Maybe Sage and I will go one day

Lisa What a clever little girl Miss A is. I bet she knows it too

I have to wait until the 1st October for a phone appt for sleep school and then it'll be between 2 and 4 weeks after that when we go. I'm feeling so much better about the whole idea now (thanks Willow). Things are pretty ordinary atm.I'm pretty sure we have another tooth on its way and thats not helping anything either. MIL has made a few little comments lately that I could have strangled her after and to top it all off she gave him cordial in his water. WTF is she thinking I'm trying to get him to drink PLAIN water as he's not drinking anything other than BM and want him to have water especially as the weather warms up and she does this. I could have screamed but just said nothing. I think the look I gave her said it all or I hope it did.

Enough whinging.....
Sydney girls I'm thinking about coming down for a day during the school hols.... Maybe either the Monday 29th or Tuesday 30th in the 1st week if that works for you. Just let me know if you're interested
