Question Quick Question about high temps after mc

Hi there,

Hopefully I can get some insight on this, Im still having high tempretures after my mc, I was told the bub was passing during my ultrasound a week ago today, so its been a week and I've been bleeding on an off but nothing too heavy, and black gunky stuff (sorry if that sounds horrible and if its too much info) all this week. I was spotting since my period was due on the 24th July. Anyway, is it because its only really been a week and its still passing through my system??? Confused.....because I would like to start trying again soon however need to wait til I get a real period again and my cycle is back to normal.....can anyone help????

thanks

If your temp is very high you should go to the Dr. If the "gunky" stuff has a strong odor even more so.
It does take some time for this to settle down thro.
Take care be kind to yourself.

Hi Mannie,

So sorry to hear that you are going through this.

I agree with jmmum - might be worth a trip to the doc tor to ensure there is no infection etc.

I know how hard it is, but try not to stress too much about TTC again

That's sounds ok, it doesn't sound like an infection so that's good.

Elevated progesterone is what raises your body temp when you're pregnant, and it can take a little while (maybe even a few weeks) for that to return to normal levels and until then, you will have slightly elevated temps.

Give it a little more time, after the bleeding stops your hormone levels will return to normal and your temps will too.

Take care hun and I'm sorry for the loss of your little one

Sorry for your loss. If you want to click on the link to my chart, you will see what my temps were, and perhaps compare yours to those. I had two MCs in a row and my temps were higher than normal during the time of bleeding (although the bleeding was just like AF, just lasted longer). I conceived straight away (within 2-3 weeks) after the 1st MC, but didn't conceive this month.

Hope all goes to plan for you.
