Hi ladies! Thanks for all your posts, I've had a good laugh!
I caved in and tested this morning, but got a BFN. I may be 12DPO or less and I got a BFN at 12PO with Kieran so it may just be too early for me .
Just wondering if I should be worried - About half an hour ago I started feeling short of breath, like it's really hard to take a deep breath and my heart is pounding. About 10 minutes ago I had the urge to cry and then I started retching again. Should I be alarmed? I've never had breathing problems before. I'm not sure if I should take myself of to the Drs to get checked over?

Trish - is it possible you just had a tiny anxiety attack? Cos that describes mine to a T.

No Mel, I was just calmly sitting on the couch reading BB LOL!
Now I've stopped gagging my breathing is feeling a bit better, not 100%, but I think it will be OK.

I was going to say the same thing Trish, sounds like a teeny anxiety attack to me too.

Thanks Willow - it could have been, but I don't know how! I haven't been feeling anxious and I certainly was feeling calm (pretty much brainless LOL) when it happened. Man I am a freak!

You poor thing Trish. Could the breathing issues be because of the retching? Sorry about the BFN but it could just be a bit early??? If you are still feeling awful maybe a trip to the docs would give you peace of mind?
Take care.....xxx

Thanks Sangie, I started gagging about 20 minutes after I went short of breath. Thankfully it has passed now. Stoopid me Googled it afterwards and apparently it can be an early pg symptom. One site said this:
Quote:

Some pregnant women do experience the feeling that they cannot catch a deep breath. This is caused by the relaxing effect of progesterone on the diaphragm and upon the accessory (helper) muscles of respiration. While it is unclear why some women experience this more acutely than others, it is a fairly common occurrence. Typically, it subsides in the first half of pregnancy.

I am highly suspicious now! I also read that some people don't create as much hCG so it takes longer to get a BFP, this may explain why I got a BFN with Kieran at 12DPO. With Joel I didn't test until a week after AF was due so I have no idea if I would have gotten an earlier BFP. I really should stop Googling and just play the waiting game LOL!

LOL Willow, I know!
I hate to go on about it, but it seems weird that for 4 days in a row I have been hit by nausea and retching for a 5 - 10 minute period, once a day.
Maybe I should just turn my computer off and hibernate for the next week?

Interesting, I've never heard of that before Trish! Well ya learn something new everyday!
It really does sound like you are pg Trish and that you are just going to have to wait a bit longer for a positive test, how frustrating!! The TWW is long enough without having to add extra days!
I'm guessing that a bt would be more sensitive if you can be bothered with it?

I didn't think you meant for me to stop Willow! I was just rambling on in broken sentences LOL.
Here I was trying to keep things to myself and now I'm spilling it all online . It's kind of theraputic to talk about it!
sangie - I am sooo tempted to get a b/t, but I won't. It will only be a matter of days before I find out either way I'm sure, in the scheme of life it's not that long!

Trish- shortness of breath and chest pain can be symptoms of things more sinister. If it persists definately go and get checked. Better to be safe than sorry. If it happens again tonight i would go to the ED. Not wanting to worry you, but want you to be ok.
