Twins or More Just when we thought having one baby was tricky enough, mums to multiples often have extra challenges with two or more babies of the same age. If you are a mum to twins or more, this is where you can exchange experiences and support with others.

Question Twins with Clomid?

HI there Ladies,

I am new here, i am Linda and live in Cairns in AUstralia I have just experienced an early loss and will be ttc again in Oct when my dp gets back from deployment (Navy). I was thinking of taking 50mg's of Clomid to help us ttc faster. I was thinking about the poss chance of multiples though, as i have a very strong line of twins on my side of the family. I was just wondering how many of you were using clomid and got twins? How much Clomid were you using and what gender's were your little ones?

Thanks very muchly, Linda

Hi Linda

I was the same - had an early loss last October, then nothing happened for 6 months. My OB put me on 50mg's of Clomid and we got pregnant the first month with twins!!! We are delighted. I am now 11 weeks.

Good luck!!

Caroline

Hey Linda

After 3 years of TTC, I went on Clomid. My Ob. put me on 50mg. First cycle was successful!

I'm due today...but only one!!!

We have some family history of twins...but nothing strong.

Wishing you all the very best.

I have been on clomid for 3 pregnancies and none of those were twins! This baby in my belly was conceived on 150mgs of clomid and is a little girl.

The risk of twins on clomid is about 10 percent. Not very high.

Good luck with your journey.
