Twins or More Just when we thought having one baby was tricky enough, mums to multiples often have extra challenges with two or more babies of the same age. If you are a mum to twins or more, this is where you can exchange experiences and support with others.

Default only one artery to one twin

Hi

I have friends who are 20 weeks pregnant with twins- 2 sacs.

The ultrasound showed that one twin has only one artery coming from Mum, and the other has two.

Have you had this with your pregnancies? Were there any problems? If there are godd stories with no problems would be interested to hear them too so i can pass on.

Thanks,

k

I havent had twins but my DD had a 1 artery cord. She was perfectly fine. It is only a concern if they are multiple symptoms of downs syndrome as this is sometimes one of them but if there is nothing else wrong then baby should be fine.

Thanks Antheia for your story.

I hadn't heard of this being an issue before. It's good to hear that it doesn't always cause problems.

take care,

k
