Apparently its a must read for VBAC births and anyone wanting a natural birth too I guess.... I've heard great things about it, but just wanted to see if someone had a copy they were finished with or no longer needed!

Silent Knife: Cesarean Prevention and Vaginal Birth After Cesarean

Book by Nancy Wainer-Cohen & Lois Estner
A classic book that remains as relevant today as when it was written more than 20 years ago. The authors look at the high caesarean rates and the reasons for it, then present a diverse collection of stories from women. Positive reinforcement for those women seeking to have a vaginal birth after a previous caesarean.

"The bible of cesarean prevention." -- Wall Street Journal

"A landmark event, which will change the course of obstetric care by giving parents the informtion they need to make the decisions that are best for their own families. Comprehensive, highly readable, sensitive . . . should be read by everyone who cares about someone." -- Marian Tompson Director, Alternative Birth Crisis Coalition American Academy of Medicine

"Required reading for all childbirth professionals and prospective parents." -- Journal of Gynecological Nursing

I just bought this book on US Amazon... because of the strong dollar at the moment it only cost me $26.00 from a secondhand seller... its $80 here in Australia which is why I was looking for a copy!

Check it out on Amazon.

Its kinda hard to find too, you have to buy it from the US online if you want to get it at a reasonable price. I've been looking at getting it too but got discouraged when i woulda had to get it shipped over otherwise pay $80 but after reading this thread i have a renewed desire to get it hehe. I might try amazon too.
