Ok.. I'm back with an update.
First off - Scratch & Sniff isn't as pleasant as it sounds... Was quite painful actually. She said that I'm 1cm dilated (woohoo - only 9 to go) and my cervix is getting soft... not that it IS soft.. but getting soft
We then discussed options, which is what I was so freaked out and upset about this morning and why I couldn't stop crying and stuff.
My OB is by far the most wonderful woman on the earth. She gave me 3 options straight up, 1 - wait & monitor, 2 - induce with balloon thingy and rupture, and 3, c-section. She said she doesn't want me to have a c-section and said that if we do the induction now, there is most likely the chance that I'd end up with a c-section anyway. So we are waiting
This is our plan...
CTG monitoring tomorrow...
Ultrasound on Friday...
Appointment with her and another CTG on Monday
Induction on thursday (she is leaving for holidays on Friday and doesn't want to leave me alone through this - god damn I love this woman.)
Even though she had her hand up my clacker and it hurt like hell - I'd still take her out for dinner afterwards...

That's sounds very positive. You must be feeling very relieved now. 9cm to go...come on down Rabbit!
You should have called or text me this morning when you were feeling that way!

Jodi - nah I think I was far too upset to talk to anyone this morning. I was happy to talk to Aricyn cos he was the only person not to mention the baby was overdue!!! lol

Oh Mel, I hope your scratch and sniff moves things along - but on the plus side 1cm is 1 cm so that's something to feel positive about

What a fantastic OB Mel! I reckon you'll go before you need to be induced
Hope you're feeling a bit better now!

Nina was the opposite when I was pg with Emily. She was a constant reminder that the baby was coming, always lifting up my shirt saying 'where's bubby?'

Haha Mel - perhaps Rabbit's grown quite fond of your ob, and she's trying to make the relationship last as long as possible. :P
You are just doing so well, I'm really impressed (you know, since what i think matters so much :P), you seem to be doing such a good job baking your bub. Got everything crossed (or uncrossed, since that sounds more sensible for birth) that bub will make an entrance real soon!

Yeah, but don't pull a 'Nelle' on us, okay?
Seriously Mel, I've been thinking about you, and your OB, and I think it all just sounds so wonderful! I know you would have preferred not to go over, but it sounds as though everyone has yours, and little rabbit's, best interests at heart And you are amazing! Hang in there, it will all be worth it in the end

Oh goodness no, don't pull a Nelle! Perhaps I'll modify my orders slightly - Rabbit, come, soon, but don't come all at once when you do decide to come, take more than an hour at least, give mummy some time to warm up. :P Unless it's between coming in a mega rush or coming by c-sec and then you can come quickly, because you know how much mummy wants a VBAC.
Okay...maybe don't pass that on to Rabbit, it might hold her up an extra day or so while she tries to make sense of my message...
Gooooooo Mel! You're doing ace. Lol, typical girl, she's probably still fixing her hair or something. :P

Whilst I wouldn't mind a waterbirth, definitely not ready for the "Nelle" speed of things
A labour like my mums would be nice - 6 hours for her first one.. I'll take that!!!!
Now.. all I need is to get rid of this stupid head cold I woke up with today and all systems should be ready to go.... (will have to dose myself on panadol!!)
