OMG Mel! I just think that's horrid! In our mother's group quite a few of the girls were all like... omg how painful was it etc etc etc and I said... ummmm nope I really enjoyed it actually...lol. As I said to you the other day, for me I honestly was not in pain at all. In fact the only thing that did cause me more discomfort and ok a little pain was when the doc dude was feeling around to see what was making Oskar be in distress so much and that hurt cos he was pushing his hand up and my body was trying to get things down and out! Honey, the main thing is you know your body knows what to do and I think that you are ready for a wonderful experience.
Oh and what hoobley said When you're deep in labour you can really get to questioning your ability to go on (ALL mothers, not just VBACers). Remember that birth is a journey of 1000 steps and your baby NEVER needs you to go further than just one more step. You can do that Mel, you can always do just one more step.
that's true. I remember saying I couldn't do it anymore, well obviously I did...lol. I can't wait to meet your baby

Mel, every day I think...ooooh wonder if today's the day for Mel...lol. Anyone would think it's me! I didn't feel anything with Oskar to give me ANY indication whatsoever. The only thing which was in hindsight was that I felt kinda "weird" all day on the Sunday and maybe tightenings/periody pains low down (he was born early hours Monday morning). I think from memory I felt a bit sore but like muscle sore right down the bottom of my belly, but really other than that there wasn't anything that was like a light to me! I can't wait for it to happen for you

Honestly 10 days over isn't so bad The one thing I had to keep reminding myself though was why I was doing it, my head kept thinking "if only I had the c/s I wouldn't be so uncomfortable & I'd have my bubba now" but in my heart I knew I was doing the right thing.
Hopefully your first gut about next week is right

Yeah I've already had that thought that if I was having a c-section I probably would of had it yesterday... but the thought has gone no further than that, and its not because I'm uncomfortable, cos I'm pretty lucky and not really that uncomfy (unless trying to wipe myself on the toilet or shave my legs - now thats a pain in the ar$e!!)
I'm pretty happy just to wait it out...

you naughty girl!! Soooo made me laugh though! I went 4 days over, nothing major. I had no pre labour, no show or anything either. My waters didn't even break! No wonder I was in denial and didn't even realise until I was about 4-5 mins apart and said to DH that maybe we should call the hossy! pmsl @ me I tell ya! I can't wait to get a text from you though, omg it's soooo exciting, ok I know I've already said that but IT IS!

Hang in there hun! Use the time you have to focus on your bubby and your affirmations, plus a little nipple stimulation would never go astray you know Can't hurt!!!! As Sarah said, bubs is going to choose his/her birthday and it will the PERFECT day - no matter if it is on the DD or 10 days over. You have come through roughly 280 days of pregnancy! Isn't that amazing!!!!- and only about 10-14 to go!!!!!!!

Tan, we listen to our hypnobirthing affirmations every night - I think I doze off before the nice music starts... LOL Had heaps of BH last night that woke me up cos my belly got so tight - no pains or cramps though, just tightness...

Could be a sign hun - it's all good practise for the main event! You are so close and I'm so excited for you and that you will be meeting your little one so soon!

Tan, I'm feeling like there never will be the main event... all my belly buddies are popping out all over the place (funnily enough all boys born so far.... weird huh!) and most of the others are experiencing pains, or plugs going astray... you know.. NORMAL stuff...
I'm plodding along.... losing nothing (even after DTD!! NOTHING!!!!)
Might have to get stuck into some pineapple.. thats supposed to help isn't it?! lol

pineapple and chillies!!! (or that's what I hear)
And you can get away with it now because people expect you to have stange cravings when pregnant!! Not sure that ice cream and sardines brings on labour though (and before you ask, NO, I didn't!)
you KNOW you're gonna get through this because you rock. I love that you're taking all the negativity and letting it build your determination - you have such amazing spirit and grace.
NOBODY in their right minds could be disappointed with you, Mel. Go, Mel, Go!!!!!
