its good to hear im not the only one who's been in the overdue wait ... it feels like im the only one ... and yes there has been tears , and frustration , like when i hear people say , oh dont worry i was 9 days over .. and they talk about it as it was nothing ... how did they seem to stay so sane in that time ..
and got to face the family today at a bday party ... all the questions ( and probably suggestions on how to start labour ) will come out ..
my mum offered yesterday to buy me some castor oil .. i cant be bothered pushing out a normal poop let alone a bout of the runs

Glad you have your sense of humor lovely! Just nod and smile when they give you tips and keep telling yourself that you are giving your baby the best gift ever of being able to choose her own birthday hun! She will be perfectly baked and ready to meet her big bro and family on the day she chooses! I hope you have a nice time hun and yep - although in hindsight it was hard going so far overdue I now look back and think wow, she's 15 mths old! A few days of waiting isn't too bad to make sure everything goes to plan! (Remind me of that in a few weeks time if I am overdue and feeling the pain please!)

oh lordy I went insane. Seriously.... it was horrible. The last day I put Matilda into CC and I stayed home just to cry. I cried and slept all day long. I couldn't even stand to come on BB because everyone loved me & wanted the best for me and I just couldn't stand it.
I say easily enough now "I went 11 days over or 17 with Matilda..." sure its easy to say. It was hell to live. I cried every birth announcement I read, I screamed when people who were due weeks after me had their babies. I hated commercials, I hated anything with babies in it because it reminded me that I didn't have mine in my arms. I screamed at DH every chance I got.... I was horrible. Bridzillas have nothing on pregzilla!!!!

That's fantastic news Lea. Your body is definately working for you.
You know that you are on your way, so no induction drugs are needed huni. Your body is working away at the pace it needs to be.

well dr check me and found cx was soft and 2cm .. im still here and still pregnant .. even after 3 days or something like that of labour , well its probably false labour ...
ctx increase for a few hrs then after i take some panadiene and have a nap the ctx go
they are going to break my waters on thursday ... i hope she gets her butt into gear and comes before then ...
i can handle the pain if it was producing promising results , like a baby . but all its producing is tears of frustration ...

Hon, anxiety and stress will only slow things down. Trust your body, trust your baby. There is no such thing as 'false labour' because your body is working. Its alot of work for a cervix to shorten, thin and efface, then dilate 2cm! It's early labour, it's not active labour, so ignore it, play it down and when you get into active labour then focus on it. Your body is designed to labour and it will. But adrenaline which we produce in times of fear and anxiety actually counteracts the labour hormone, oxytocin. Book yourself in for a massage - but stop focusing on this labour - one day at a time and your baby will be in your arms very soon. Rest rest rest, it will step up a notch very soon.
