Oooh, things are definitely happening! Re: the anxiety - it may be caused by your hormones. The night before I went into labour with DS2 I had a full-on anxiety attack. I cried to DH and said I don't think I can do this etc... I had been so calm the whole pregnancy up until that point and then I just lost it. DH made me go through all my relaxation techniques again and let me talk about it and I started feeling much better. I then went into labour at 4am, so it's possible that things are about to start for you.
Oh and YES, you can do it, you'll have the strength when you need it .

LABOUR VIBES LABOUR VIBES LABOUR VIBES The very best of luck today, I too would bring a suit case, I did with my last appointment with DD2 left it in the car though as I just had a feeling in my gut that that was the day... They did send me home as I wasnt in labour but by 11.45 pm I was holding my baby girl in my arms sometime we just know even if the medic's dont....
As for going over 14 days dont worry the doctors wont let you keep going if its not ok for bub in Cairns Base they let you go up to 3 weeks over before they get bub out... so you can go over 14 days....

Hey hun,
Well a recent VBAC client comes to mind the thing that stands out to me about her birth was when her baby was born she was kinda shouting 'I DID IT, I DID IT" You can do it and it will be amazing and when you hold your son in your arms knowing you just got him there and u grew him and pushed him out...You'll be sure then!!! Be strong babe you have been monitored and can keep having monitoring and get the VBAC you are hoping for, have a chat to Kelly about your concerns with going over the 14days I'm sure she'll give you lots of info.
You can do it but if you do have a c/s we will all still be here supporting you and cheering you on. You are well informed, you know your goal, you are armed with info and techniques and you even have the one and only Kelly as your Doula! If you have a c/s it's because you are a wonderful mum and you have decided that it is best for your baby to have a c/s because of the circumstances and that it success...what more could a baby want from his mum when it comes to birth???
YOU WILL HAVE AN AMAZING BIRTH, YOU ARE INFORMED AND EMPOWERED AND CAPABLE!!
I think maybe your anxiety was coming from your expectations of yourself and even though u say it do you really feel a c/s will be success? Maybe try and forget the how and focus on the what...a beautiful baby boy that smells like a baby, and wears the most beautiful little things, can't yet squirm from all those hugs and kisses we want to give them, 10 of the tiniest fingers and 10 of the tiniest toes, even their little possets (tried to use the nicer word lol) make you feel like everything is right with the word when you smeel them, Livvy will be a big sister and I can only imagine how proud a mum would be seeing their first baby give out some big sister hugs and kisses, new life into the world and the expansion of the family you love so much! Thats what your looking forward to!
We are all here believing that you can do it and by it we mean make the best decisions for you and your baby about this birth from an empowered, informed and prepared position!

:waving: that was me with the 15-days-overdue-homebirth-VBAC and an eight and a half bound baby! but ultimately, this baby will be born in his own way and in his own time. you are giving him the best possible chance for a VBAC, and that's a wonderful thing!! what he does with that, is up to him and his karma. whatever happens, Tan, you're done extremely well! be proud

Gorgeous, beautiful posts ladies! Thanks so much!
Well monitoring went super well again, little man is very content and happy in there. Saw the Dr and we had a good chat and decided to book the c/s for Saturday. Smack on 14 days. DH and I are happy with that, particularly DH who would be worried if we left it much longer. I think he is secretly a bit worried now but today was reassuring for him. I thought they would push for tomorrow or Friday so am pleased and the best bit is, that if it comes to it, the Ob doing the c/s is the head ob of the birth centre who I saw a few weeks ago and is just gorgeous so I feel a bit better. I am TERRIFED of the surgery but knowing it is her makes me feel a bit better for some reason.
The Ob today gave me another S & S today - I cried it was SO painful but she pronounced me 2-3 cms dilated and patted bubs head and told him kindly to get out and I have had some BH since then too so am going to get DH to take me shopping and a long walk later today. THanks again for all your support girls and fingers crossed and legs uncrossed that the next 3 days are enough to get this little man out!!
