Thanks ladies! I am sitting here trying to work out how I will reconcile a c/s if it comes to that.... I know there is a possibility and I don't want to focus on it but I do worry about my mental state if it comes to that... I just don't know. I guess it is one of those things you can't deal with until it happens. I will talk to them today about my c/s preferences and see how we go. I want a healthy baby and that is my ultimate aim (obviously!!) but his mummy also needs to be in a healthy state of mind so will see how we go... I have pinned lots on this VBAC but I guess in a way I have needed to so that I wouldn't turn around like I did with Izzy with regrets and "what if's".There are no what if's or stones left unturned so if it ends up in c/s I can truly say with pride that there was NOTHING I more I could do. Not much more I can do than that. Venting and babbling. I love this thread. It's my offload mind rubbish thread where I get lots of voices coming back with different advice and perspectives that keep me sane!

You shouldn't worry yourself with these thought we all know that if it comes to you having to have a C/S then you did all that you could do without risking your baby.... Just remember that in the end all that matters is a heathy happy baby....
I hope you get the birth you are hoping for....

Yep hun - most hospitals won't induce these days (too risky for rupture) so that's why I'm trying everything I can to bring it on.... That stupid hosptial clock is ticking though and it's getting louder so fingers crossed all is A-Ok today and they will give me another few days to just relax and wait.

Oh Tan, I think I will feel exactly the same as you if and when I'm 40 weeks with #2 and facing the teeny tiny possibility of a repeat cs. But you have a great attitude. You are leaving no stone unturned. You are sooo educated about everything you should be proud to know you are doing everything possible on your quest for a vbac.
I think you'll be just fine sweetie, but it's great that you are going to discuss your cs preferences just in case. Have yourself a cs birth plan written up. I really wish I had a birth plan that covered ALL scenarios with Charli's birth. WOuld you want the screen lowered so you could see your son being delivered? Would you like him placed straight onto your chest and remain there as much as possible? Would you like to be shown the placenta etc once it has been delivered? etc etc. All of these things are standard with vaginal birth and it should be the case for a cs too.
All that aside, back to the chamomile tea. I'm not a tea drinker either, but i say wait for it to go cold, hold your nose and skull
Best of luck for your appointment today.

Tan - I think its very wise to have a plan for the unwanted c-section - I didn't let myself prepare for that outcome and I think that had a lot to do with my disappointment with having one....
Not that you ARE going to have one of course...

Well back after 3 and a half hours at the hosptial! In a nutshell because I need a nap before Izzy gets dropped off!
Monday's caeser CANCELLED!
Had a painful S & S and am hoping that will stir things up!
Monitoring went beautifully - in the words of the lovely ultrasound lady, It's not all "good" its all EXCELLENT! Plenty of fluid around bub - placenta and uc working perfectly!
It's definitely a boy! Nice scrotum and penis shot!
Got to watch him play with his hands near his face and swallow and move his tongue around - he is TOO cute and yep I did cry because he was just SO adorable and I just want a real cuddle not just a tummy cuddle!
Back for more monitoring on Monday... can't see things being too drastically different over the course of the weekend so fingers crossed. Midwife said she can't see them putting me in for a a c/s later than Wed/Thur... I said well they can't make me so we'll see how we go on Monday! No date booked at this stage which is just wonderful!
The medical profession never fail to amaze me with their tact. It's too late to book me into the theatre lists so on Monday they will book my BACK DOOR CAESER!!! Haha made me laugh! I mean honestly!
Thanks again for your love and support - I'm off for a nap!

Tan, things sound pretty good!! You've got some dilation AND back pain... WOOHOO!! I'm hoping things start up for you over the weekend honey! Oh and I LOVE your reply to the midwife about they can't make you have the c/s...hehe well done. Try to not think about the possibility though as long as you have gone over it in your mind focus on your VBAC
