Default No AF for 1yr, now there's something - but it's WEIRD!!

Last weekend I got all excited because, having breastfeed my DS all his little life (1yr) (and still doing so - and still all through the night), I seemed to be getting my 1st period since his birth!!! But it's all wrong!

I thought AF was there - there was blood on the toilet paper and on the pads, but it's not fresh blood - it's "old" blood (think end of AF) - and it only lasted 1-2 days! What's happening??

On Sunday I would say I was "spotting", Monday was a bit heavier (still "old" blood), but still really nothing in comparison to a real period, and today (Tuesday) it's all but gone...

I tested for pregnancy last week (neg), however the test had expired - maybe it's an implantation bleed???

Anyone got any ideas? I'm so confused!

Funny - I had something very similar to an implant bleed and then nothing else a few days ago too. I'm not pregnant either and no sign of AF. Harry has stopped feeding overnight now so I assume it will start soon. It was a full moon recently so I think my body is just gearing up and getting itself aligned...

Hi Claire,

Yes, very weird. I'm thinking (hoping!) it's a period of some-sorts. At least then I know my body's doing something cycle-wise. And I just downloaded the free TCOYF software for a trial...

[We should both be in bed sleeping now!]

I had this happen a few months ago! Was sure I was getting my period back, a bit of light bleeding, and then.......nothing! I wondered if I might be pg, but I'm pretty sure I'm not by now LOL.

Who knows? Well done on the Bfing though I hope you're enjoying no AF
